For USC, do you need a recommendation from either a teacher or a counselor (meaning I could just ask my counselor), or do you need a recommendation from both a teacher and a counselor?

Am I still part of the Trojan Family?

Hello Trojans, I am a 2L who decided to go to the University of Notre Dame for law school. I had a great time at USC and I am a Trojan to the core, however I wanted to expand my network and became a Domer as well. I am trying to make my way back to California after graduation next year and would like to know if going to Notre Dame will shut the doors to the Trojan Family. It sounds a bit ridiculous, but I was in L.A. over the summer and could tell that some older alumni were genuinely less than thrilled about my law school decision. Based on your experience and opinion, should I solely rely on the Notre Dame network to get me back to California? I figured I couldn't go wrong with this combination of schools. Thanks and Fight On! - A fellow Trojan.

I don't know if one of these has been made yet. I looked around and couldn't find one so I decided I'd make one myself. Is anyone else applying for RHP?

Potential USC transfer student with a few questions!!

Hi guys, I am currently in my Senior year of high school and I am interested in going to USC. Unfortunately, my gpa (3.0) and grades are weak to be considered, so I am heavily considering applying there!!! I have a few questions to ask, so if any of you guys can answer, that will be great. 1. I heard that USC won't look at your high school record if you have 30+ units. If you are currently in your second semester, because the transfer application is February 1st (I believed), would that mean they would look at your high school record instead? 2. When will you be informed if you get accepted or not? 3. Does USC accept students from out of state community colleges? 4. How is the scholarship and financial aid? 5. Does extracurriculars matter in the transfer process?

What should a girl not attending USC expect at a friend's frat party? What to wear/prepare before going? Anything is helpful!

What is the lowest gpa that USC would accept?

Letting Admissions Know That USC Is My Top Choice

USC is my number one choice (as I'm sure it is for many). Would it be appropriate to just to be straightforward and tell them in one of the supplemental essays that USC is my top choice? Would it help significantly? I'm already an above average applicant SAT-wise and grade-wise. Thanks

Strengths of USC

Hello, I'm new to posting on this forum (even though I've used it since I was an undergrad...this site actually can make a person go crazy I think, especially the part about "what are my chances"). And I really need to ask about USC. As an alumni of UCLA (class of 2009), I only know of USC as our rivals/enemies. We never wore red, gave blood during "Beat SC" week, and our favorite teams were UCLA and whoever was playing USC. Wow so much of our rivalry is actually predicated on sports! But now, as an educational consultant, I NEED to know more about USC, and something in me is simply biased and refuses to acknowledge all the good in our enemies, (especially since they surpassed us this year in the US NEWS rankings!). Other than their business school, what else are the great advantages of attending USC? What makes them so elite? Other than "legacy" and the hook ups that come with it, the business programs, and football...what's the allure of SC'? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

This guy told me he is attending both SC and CC in the same time. He even showed me his schedule. I'm very curious, you can actually do that?

Hello, I am posting to see if there's anyone here applying to USC masters of fine arts for 2017. I'm curious about others who've applied or are applying, what your reasoning was for applying, and what you're hoping to achieve or accomplish in the program. Or, Why are you pursuing a master's and why USC in regards with your goals? What are your goals? Why USC and not other schools? This might be a stretch since I can't imagine other MFA prospective students here, but it'd be great to meet others intersted and applying too. It'd probably be better if I reach out to alumni to gain perspective. That'd be helpful. Personally I've been working on learning game design and development for a year since studying Psychology for my undergrad. I'm on the east coast so I've met some indies and artists there and ehh, just did my thing while staying home, exploring interactive media, design, and the game industry too. Though it's not needed to attend school, I think this is just an option to work on my stuff and a horrible excuse to be in Cali, haha. But I also think I need some help with my work and collaborate with other great people. I feel the resources in USC will help with that, as well as explore my vision of games and what they could be. I won't need to be so super indie. It'd be great to hear about you as well so please post! And if you are an applicant, good luck with your aapplication.

How to convince my parents to let me apply?

I live in the Boston area and when I began my college search, my parents decided that they didn't want me to be far from home. They thought that this shouldn't be a problem, as the northeast has many fabulous schools (which is true). It didn't really bother me up until about a month ago, when by chance I started reading about USC and it just sort of seemed to click. USC fits all of my college search criteria and the more I read about it on this forum and elsewhere, the more I want to apply. Also, I'm a NMSF, and so if I became a NMF, the merit aid from that would be a HUGE help. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to convince my parents to at least let me apply? They're biggest concerns are the hassle of being far away and the cost of flying me across the country, although I think there is an emotional factor as well.

I'm hoping to transfer as a junior to USC next year. How hard is it to get into a good sorority like theta, pi beta phi, or Adpi as a junior? Is it common for juniors to get bids?? Should i even try to rush, or is it worthless for a junior. Thanks so much :) xx

Signing into University of Souther California Application

Hey guys, I was just looking at my email and saw that I got one from USC detailing how to sign in to see my application status, documents submitted, etc. I can sign in to the website just fine, but when I click on Application Status it prompts me to put in a username and password and I have no idea what that is! I have tried my email and USC ID number along with a 12 digit password I received in an email after I signed up. None of that seems to be working and I just wanted to see if any of you were having the same problem!
